Singer Querubin Llavore goes viral again, this time due to funny haircut experience

Filipino singer Querubin Llavore got her shot at fame not only because of her beautiful and powerful voice but also because of her funny personality on stage. When Llavore was proclaimed as the defending champion during her stint as a contestant on Tawag Ng Tanghalan, her winning moment, made hilarious because of all the funny facial expressions she was pulling off in between her ugly crying, caught the attention of Filipino viewers, subsequently cementing the clip as one of the more iconic video meme reactions in circulation on Filipino social media. It all went nuclear for Llavore when Tyler the Creator, an American rapper and producer, tweeted in 2022 that he was looking for this specific clip of a girl crying then making funny faces on stage.

Even though the singer was eliminated before the finals of the competition, she already made a name for herself and that single meme clip created a different path for her.

Now, Querubin Llavore spends her time as a content creator, doing vlogs about her daily life updates and her life living in Dubai as a performer.

Just recently, Querubin Llavore shared a disastrous moment at her most recent salon visit, where she came originally intending to get a “Korean pixie” look but according to her, ended up looking like wearing the hairdo of a teenage Justin Bieber. There seemed to be a miscommunication between her and the hairdresser but Llavore was too shy to point it out. This reel she posted yet again caught the attention of Filipinos who laughed with her in her misfortune.

Some said that the failed result of the haircut was probably because of her head’s structure which did not match this type of haircut. However, she replied to one social media commentator with her “fixed” version that definitely suits her.

In an interview with Vice Asia, the singer shared how her life completely changed because of her video going viral, with people recognizing her everywhere she goes. Llavore admitted that fame has not always been a positive experience for her, as some moments of social interaction with others exhaust her, resulting in her developing social anxiety.

Llavore has pointed out that her being famous is not because she is faking her goofy personality in front of the camera, but because she is being her real self.
