Beyoncé and 2-year-old Filipino officially become friends after viral ‘Beyoncé is my friend’ video

Everyone has a music icon that holds a special place in their hearts. Some pay thousands just to watch them perform and some even buy merchandise that cost hundreds or even thousands just to show their love and support. Meanwhile, the majority of them don’t do either, and stick to silently enjoying their favorite artists’ music.

For 2-year-old Filipino Tyler Fabregas, however, an extraordinary opportunity unfolded before him, one that most people only dream of experiencing in a lifetime.

The adorable and cheeky fan is actually pals with none other than the legendary R&B sensation, Beyoncé; with a staggering 32 Grammy Awards under her belt since 2023, Beyoncé has solidified her status as the artist with the most Grammy wins in history. And now, she’s sharing her spotlight with her pint-sized friend Tyler.

This was after a TikTok video posted by an account named “beafabregas” had gone viral, where Tyler is seen eating pizza at the mall. As his mother is filming him, the little boy asks the question “Where is Beyoncé?”

To the mother’s astonishment, she responded to her enthusiastic son with, “Beyoncé is in her house, baby.”

As the video progresses, Tyler goes on insisting that he knows Beyoncé personally and that the two are friends. Throughout this 1-minute TikTok video, Tyler’s mother is seen encouraging her little boy by humoring his proclamations about the famous singer.

In the end, the video cuts to Tyler dancing to “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Beyoncé’s 2024 barrier-breaking country single. Where his mother’s caption reads “Best mama could do.”

Little did Tyler’s mother, Bea Fabregas, know that their cute and fun video would gain so much traction, so much so it even reached the ears of the famed artist, Beyoncé.

The singer’s response to the viral video sent shockwaves through the media, melting people’s hearts. The “Queen Bey” being even the queen of generosity and kindness, decided to surprise her little friend Tyler by sending him a bouquet of white and blue flowers and a stuffed animal.

According to Tyler’s mother, the gifts were addressed “To my friend Tyler,” followed by a note that read “I see your halo, Tyler.” Referencing the star’s 2008 hit, “Halo.”

Tyler’s family, especially his mom, couldn’t believe their luck. What started as a simple moment captured on social media turned into a magical connection with one of the biggest music icons of all time.

Bea Fabregas posted on Instagram titled “BEYONCE VIDEO UPDATE” of how everything had unraveled for her son. “For the record @beyonce and Tyler are now actually, officially friends! Through the power of Queen B’s internet (millions of views and likes it’s crazy!) she saw the video and sent over some of her favorite blue flowers, a new animal best friend for Tyler, and the sweetest message that our family will now always treasure.” She wrote.

In the post, what is shown are screenshots of Bea’s conversation with Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, who reached out saying, “We want to send him a gift from her.”(Her referring to Beyoncé)

Beyoncé’s ability to capture the media’s attention with her gestures of appreciation towards her fans is nothing new, and knowing the passionate superstar, it certainly won’t be the last time she stirs up excitement.

As Bea exclaimed, “Tyler may be too young to remember all this, but i’ll always remind him to dream big and shoot for the stars!! BEYONCE SENT MY BABY FLOWERS!!!!”

This remarkable moment will be cherished by their family for years to come.
