K-Pop fans left unimpressed with Beomhan’s debut track, ‘Me Myself & I’

Let’s say that…not a lot of people were in awe of Beomhan’s debut track.

Chinese American singer/dancer/rapper Beomhan made his debut on January 31, 2024, with the single, “Me Myself and I”. Beomhan is an independent artist, being a popular K-Pop trainee and was formerly under FM Entertainment until leaving in September 2023.

Beomhan was also a former member of the pre-debut boy group M.O.N.T Arena along with ONE PACT’s Jay Chang. In 2021, he had released a pre-debut project single titled “Sun’s Up” featuring M.O.N.T’s Roda, and another song titled “Ashes feat. M.O.N.T’s Roda”.

Beomhan appeared in different K-Pop festivals in the United States and also released a song with Jay Chang titled “The Awakening” in 2022.

His journey as an aspiring K-Pop idol has been followed by fans from the beginning, and he has constantly updated his fans on social media. And now that he’s debuted, many were definitely happy that he’s finally a K-pop idol—especially with him spending his own money to fund it.

For his debut, he hired his own dance coach, choreographer, videographer, producers—everyone, out of his own pocket.

However, expectations for Beomhan’s highly anticipated debut fell short after hearing the song “Me Myself and I”.

Beomhan’s fans were quick to send in messages of praise and congratulating him for finally debuting. But, there were still some K-pop fans that expressed their dislike of the song because of its poor music production. Others also redid the mixing for his single as a suggestion.

It also came to the point where Beomhan himself apologized and “unannounced” his debut. He also released a muted version of his single.

Other K-Pop fans came to his defense and basically berated how K-Pop stans were too cruel with their own comments. It is known in the K-Pop stan community how Beomhan has been open with his mental health and his struggles as a K-Pop trainee, so receiving this kind of treatment was definitely a low blow.

While we admit that the song wasn’t really that great and up to our tastes, we still applaud Beomhan for his amazing efforts to fulfill his dream on his own—and without a bad company behind him!

And to be honest? K-Pop stans can truly be some of the most vile things on the Internet nowadays.
