PHILIPPINES, 15 May 2017 – Mark your calendars on May 28, Sunday, 6am and get ready for the second Nickelodeon Slime Cup Run, a novelty run with the ultimate mix of sports and slime at McKinley West, Taguig City! Bring your family and furry friends through a fun obstacle course, where the promise of green slime meets all at the finish line.

Kicking off the run are Nickelodeon characters, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The masked green heroes — Rafael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo — leave the sewers of New York City to be this year’s Slime Cup ambassadors! In addition, 2017 Kids Choice Awards winner for Favorite Pinoy Star, Nadine Lustre, will make a special guest appearance to help award the run winners with their medals.

“Nickelodeon Slime Cup Run is back as we continue to champion playful experiences for kids. How better to foster play than through family sports and a healthy dose of green slime that has been a Nickelodeon trademark. It’s a busy world we live in, which makes it important to let kids be kids and have a silly, slimy good time as a family every once in a while!” said Dinna Zaratan, Country Manager, Philippines, Viacom International Media Networks.

More than just running, the Slime Cup Run is for everyone to engage in physical activities that will have you laughing! The race has four categories where families and pets can join:

  • 500m Dash – For kids 7 years and below
  • 1K Race – For individual runners and dog-and-owner pairs
  • 2K Fun Run – For individual runners, pairs, and families with older kids
  • 4K Double Loop – Open for everyone who loves to run and get slimed!

Set to the theme and layout of a Slime Factory, runners will encounter obstacles as they run the streets of McKinley. From entering the slime factory line through the entrance tubes, sliding through clean up pipes, stepping into the ball mill, treading through the filtration system and finally to a wash down – earning the badge of being a certified Nickelodeon fanatic has never been more fun or slimier.

Join the Nickelodeon Slime Cup Run now! Register family and friends at Chris Sports branches at SM Mall of Asia, Glorietta, Market! Market!, SM North, and SM Megamall. You may also pre-register online at www.nick-asia.com/slimecuprun. Registration fees per race starting from P350 to P600 will apply, the proceeds of which will benefit the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

The Nickelodeon Slime Cup Run 2017 is supported by Nissin Pasta, Propan TLC, Skechers Kids, and Toy Kingdom, venue partner Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, official cable partner SkyCable, media partner Inquirer.net; and other partners, Chris Sports, Manila Water and Pet Express.

For Nicksters who’d rather cheer their friends on and not get slimed, there will be a Nickster’s Hub to stay comfortable.
