Bollywood star Salman Khan reprimands moviegoers who set off actual fireworks inside a cinema

Popular Bollywood star Salman Khan reminded fans to maintain calmness after lighting up fireworks inside a theater during a screening of his newest film “Tiger 3.”

Currently, authorities have initiated investigations as a strict measure in response to a recent incident. Some enthusiastic audience members set off fireworks to celebrate the success of the new YRF Spy installment when Khan appeared on-screen during one of the movie showings.

According to The Press Trust of India’s report, the said incident happened in Mohan Cinema in the Malegaon Chhavni area last Sunday, November 12.

Videos of what transpired quickly went viral as several moviegoers were able to film and upload footage to social networking sites. In one video, terrified people are seen to be running to an exit to escape the consecutive blows of fireworks coming from different directions. As a result, it garnered horrific and enraged reactions from netizens.

Due to the chaos created by the firecrackers, it easily led to a stampede-like atmosphere inside the hall. Based on reports, 9 to 12 shows were ongoing when the situation occurred.

“I’m hearing about fireworks inside theatres during Tiger 3,” said Salman Khan in his tweet addressing his more than 45 million followers on X (formerly Twitter).

“This is dangerous. Let’s enjoy the film without putting ourselves and others at risk. Stay safe,” the’ Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor continued.

Tiger 3 is the fifth movie of the shared YRF Spy Universe, an Indian media franchise centered around spy action movies featuring various fictional Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agents. Also, it is the sequel to the 2017 box office hit movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. The mentioned 2023 film stars Khan and Katrina Kaif, reprising their roles of Tiger and Zoya, respectively.

Furthermore, this is not the first time the commercially acclaimed actor’s fanbase has started fireworks inside a theatre as in 2021, clips surfaced on social media of audiences’ setting off firecrackers during screenings of Antim: The Final Truth.
