Village People proved they still got ‘em moves as they got the crowd dancing the night away during their one-night concert in Manila, last May 14 at the KIA Theater, presented by Zaccaria Concerts.
Still in their original stage costumes, American disco group Village People takes Pinoy fans back to the groovy ‘70s and ‘80s to celebrate their 40 years of being in the music industry. Composed of Alex Briley (soldier), Felipe Rose (Native American), Ray Simpson (cop), Eric Anzalone (biker), Bill Whitefield (construction worker) and Jim Newman (cowboy), these “Kings of Disco” owned the night with show-stopping performances that proved that they still got it even after 40 years.
As special guest, ABBA tribute band Björn Again went on stage first and gave the crowd the ABBA experience. Björn Again got the crowd up on their feet while performing several timeless ABBA hits like: “Super Trouper,” “Honey Honey,” “I Have A Dream,” “Chiquitita,” “Fernando,” Take A Chance On Me,” “Mama Mia,” and got everyone dancing to “Dancing Queen.”

Long before the EDM and synth-pop songs we have today, the songs of Village People dominated the clubs and got everyone showing their moves on the dance floor. But until now, Village People proves that they can still get everyone bringing out their macho moves when they performed their hits: “Macho Man,” “San Francisco,” “In The Navy,” “Go West,” “Can’t Stop The Music,” and more.

Village People got everyone singing along with their arms up in the air for “YMCA.” The group interacted with the crowd before saying goodbye and thanking everyone for supporting them.
