A1, the iconic 90s boyband, celebrated their 25th anniversary with a series of concerts, including stops in the Philippines. Their ‘Twenty Five Tour’ concerts in Manila took place at the New Frontier Theater last October 14 and 15.
Comprising Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read, and Ben Adams, A1 has remained a symbol of timeless pop music. Manila was then treated to an unforgettable experience as the quartet performed a lineup of their greatest hits.
The concert kicked off with an energetic rendition of some of their classics, including “Same Old Brand New You,” “Summertime of Our Lives,” “Everytime,” “Ready or Not,” and “Forever In Love.”
Fans were also delighted to hear their latest single, “Call Me When You Land,” released just this month.
A1 then paid homage to other legendary boybands, covering the first verse and chorus of hits like “Quit Playing Games” (Backstreet Boys), “Back For Good” (Take That), “Story of My Life” (One Direction), “This I Promise You” (NSYNC), and “I Want It That Way” (Backstreet Boys).
Returning to their own chart-toppers, the quartet continued to captivate the audience with songs like “Make It Good,” “When I’m Missing You,” “If You Were My Girl,” and “One More Try.”
The audience was taken on a rollercoaster of emotions with a nostalgic medley, only to be brought back to A1’s signature sound. The concert reached its peak during the encore, where A1 left the audience yearning for more with hits like “Walking in the Rain,” “Like A Rose,” and a captivating rendition of “Take on Me.”
A1 then took to Instagram to thank their fans who attended the concert. “Fair to say we’ll be back soon,” the post reads.
A1’s 25th-anniversary concert series was made possible by Concert Republic.
