IN PHOTOS: Synergy Sessions displayed the beauty of Flow Arts in the best way possible

Last May 6, InqPOP! had the incredible opportunity of attending Synergy Sessions — the monthly gathering dedicated to celebrating the beauty and intricacy of Flow Arts.

As defined by the Flow Arts Institute, Flow Arts refers to the “the intersection of a variety of movement-based disciplines which includes dance, juggling, fire-spinning, and object manipulation.” Although most Flow Arts exhibitions are performed by professionals  in circus events and festivals, Synergy Sessions proved that anyone can learn and appreciate the art form.

“Synergy Sessions is a special occasion where all forms of flow arts and performers are promoted and celebrated; and everyone is welcome to participate for free,” as Planet Zips’s Academy Operations Manager and Event Organizer, Bogs Castro explains.

Not only were participants entitled to free Flow Arts workshops and drum sessions, but they were also treated to a lineup of amazing performances from local artists.

Castro adds, “It provides the perfect space to showcase local talents and brands for the community to appreciate and support. Attendees can inspire and be inspired, teach and be taught. Regardless of your age, beliefs or orientation, if you appreciate art in all its form and glory, feel free to bask in the ambiance of overflowing inspiration and love that is Synergy Sessions.”
