Rising K-Pop stars TAN charm the media ahead of their mall shows in the Philippines this September

Rising 7-member Korean boy group, TAN, returned to the Philippines for the second time.

Formed through the MBC survival competition show “Extreme Debut: Wild Idol,” the talented group is making waves not only in South Korea but also across the globe. This time, they are set to captivate Filipino hearts with a series of mall shows and TV appearances scheduled for September. In an intimate press conference last September 1, 2023, Changsun, Jiseong, Sunghyuk, Taehoon, Hyunyeop, Jooan, and Jaejun share their thoughts on their return, their music, new album, and their love for Filipino SODAs (fans).

Jaejun, one of TAN’s members, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception they received upon their return to the Philippines. “I feel like I’m back home,” he said, “a lot of Filipino SODAs are welcoming us so much, I’m grateful.” This warm welcome has only fueled their determination to put on unforgettable performances during their stay.

Their latest release, the 3rd mini album “TAN MADE [I],” is a significant step for the group. Jooan reveals that they personally composed and wrote the lyrics for this album, aiming to convey a message of self-confidence and self-love. This creative process has brought out their best efforts. Among the seven songs on the album, the members are sure that there’s one for everyone to enjoy.

What sets TAN apart from other K-pop groups is their ability not just to write lyrics but also to produce their songs and albums. According to Jaejun, while many groups participate in writing lyrics, not all can produce their own music. This creative control gives them a unique edge in the industry.

Changsun reflected on their journey from the survival audition show, emphasizing the mental and physical strength it took to make it through. Their biggest takeaway? Never give up, and with perseverance, anything is possible.

Beyond music, TAN also looks forward to savoring Filipino delicacies such as Crispy Pata, Halo-Halo, and Sinigang during their stay, showcasing their appreciation for the local culture.

As TAN prepares to take the Philippine stage once again, their commitment to delivering exceptional performances and connecting with SODAs remains unwavering. With their talent and self-confidence, TAN is on a trajectory to becoming one of the most beloved K-pop groups in the Philippines and ever other nation.

For SODAs eagerly anticipating their return, September promises to be an unforgettable month filled with music, energy, and beautiful memories. You can catch them on September 8th at the Market! Market! Activity Center, September 9th at the TriNoma Activity Center, and September 10th at SM City CDO Downtown.
