‘The Rosé curse never-ending saga’: BLACKPINK’s Rosé reacts to Andrea Brillantes’ relationship status during Instagram live

BLACKPINK member Rosé went live on Instagram in honor of the K-pop group’s seventh year anniversary on August 8.

During a sit-down interaction, the Korean idol spent her time reading and responding to comments from BLINKS across the globe. Fans took turns in recalling what their favorite memory was with the group.

Filipina actress Andrea Brillantes was among the live’s audiences. In a comment, she wrote, “My fave memory was when you noticed me for my promposal.”

Rosé was surprised when she read her comment, saying, “Oh, was that you?” She remembered that the promposal happened in a “BORN PINK” show in Southeast Asia.

“We broke up now,” Brillantes added in a follow-up comment, to which the idol replied with a concerned expression, “You broke up now? No! I’ll pretend I didn’t see that.”

The actress dropped several other comments in the IG live about her estranged relationship with ex-boyfriend basketball star Ricci Rivero that fellow Filo-BLINKS have noticed. One wrote, “Rosé alam mo ba break na kami ng pinansin mo sa concert charot haha.” Another said, “Di nya deserve pero at least napansin mo ako diba.”

BLINKs couldn’t help but find the interaction hilarious because of their inside joke called the ‘Rosé curse.’ It appears that whenever Rosé takes a photo with people who are in a relationship, that couple tends to break up shortly thereafter.

BLACKPINK’S “BORN PINK” concert in Manila happened in March 2023, where Brillantes was noticed by Rosé for her public promposal to Rivero.
