EXO popped some bottles and dressed to the nines for their long-awaited comeback, ‘EXIST’

It’s been a while, but they still gave their EXO-ussys for this album.

On July 10, 2023, EXO dropped their much-awaited 7th Korean studio album titled, ‘EXIST.’ Accompanying the release is the music video for the album’s title track, ‘Cream Soda.’ The album is the first of EXO’s to be promoted as a 7-member group—with member Kai having enlisted for their mandatory military service and member Lay promoting his solo activities in China. The album sees the participation of all 8 Korean members, with the album having been finished prior to Kai’s temporary departure.

‘EXIST’ consists of 9 songs and have been promoting 2 singles prior to its release. ‘Let Me In’ was released last June 12, 2023, and is described as a “balled with a dreamy sound and vocals that express understated emotions, and lyrics that compare a lover to a blue ocean.” ‘Hear Me Out’ was released last June 30, 2023, and is described as an “R&B pop track with an old school vibe,” and lyrics that depict the feelings of someone hesitating before beginning a relationship.”

‘Cream Soda,’ the album’s title track, is a “dance-pop song with an exotic rhythm and upbeat brass, keyboard, and drum instrumentation.” The song itself highlights EXO’s sensual vocals paired with sultry looks, and with lyrics comparing cream soda to the “soft yet thrilling moment of falling in love.”

Other songs in the album include, ‘Regret It,’ ‘Private Party,’ ‘Cinderella,’ ‘No Makeup,’ ‘Love Fool,’ and ‘Another Day.’

EXO-Ls have been waiting for so long for new music from EXO, and they surely weren’t disappointed with this one. They had nothing but praise for the 11-year-old group, who are still continuing to serve even though they have been compared to other groups around.

Welcome back, Kings!
