But, on a serious note, what do studies say about this incident?
Based on a research that was published in the National Library of Medicine, it will need around at least 135 kg to create a minor fracture to a person’s skull–somewhat of an assurance that using headphones will not alter a person’s head. However, people can indeed get dents that are temporary, reverting back to normal after a short period of time. People should actually be more worried about their ears in prolonged usage of earphones, as this can cause permanent loss of hearing for people. According to the World Health Organization, over a billion people from the ages of 12 to 35 risk hearing loss because of extended and too much exposure to loud music and other sounds. The organization added that this has detrimental impacts or consequences in terms of people’s health, education, and even their employment.
People should also only use their headphones for 90 minutes every day, according to experts, with the volume set at max of 80 percent.
