Public unites in holding the Met police accountable for the death of dogs Marshall and Millions

Following the devastating incident that happened to the two Staffordshire bull terriers that were killed by the Metropolitan police in East London, the public is now calling for justice to hold the Met police accountable for the incident.

The two dogs, named Marshall and Millions, were shot by the Met Police following a report of a woman being attacked by them. However, there were people who witnessed the event who argued that the woman only got caught up in their leads but was not seriously hurt, according to a report.

In a statement, Marshall and Millions’ 46-year-old owner, Louie Turnbull, said that the cops pulled out their weapons and intimidated them. He added that Marshall and Millions were there to protect him. The owner also said he had his two dogs on the lead and was already pulling them away, but his two dogs were still killed by the cops.

The public did not take the tragic shooting lightly. Protesters recently held a vigil for the two dogs outside the Met police headquarters.

According to another report, one more vigil in Doncaster will happen on June 4 for the two dogs. This vigil is also intended to call for justice for the incident.

But, aside from this, the incident also sparked protests on social media, calling to hold the Met police accountable for the killing of the two dogs.

The hashtag #JusticeForMarshallandMillions became a trending topic on social media. Online petitions are also currently being posted and shared online in pursuit of holding the Met Police accountable for the incident.
