BTS releases new song despite group hiatus

ARMYs rejoice!

K-pop boy group BTS releases a new song on May 12 that serves as a soundtrack for the animated movie Bastions. It was uploaded on BANGTANTV, the official YouTube channel of the group. As of this writing, the video has already clocked at 3.3 million views.

“The Planet” marks the first time the group has sang together ever since they announced on October 2022 that they would be separating ways to focus on their solo careers.

ARMYs are elated over this recent release, with one fan commenting that the boy band never disappoints them. ARMYs are encouraging others to stream the song as well.

Fans are also hopeful that the hiatus will not mean the end for the boys’ prime, and that they will have the biggest comeback soon.

Recent events that have happened after the announcement were the collaborations of JIn, Jimin, V, and Jungkook with hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg and record producer benny blanco, solo album releases of J-Hope, RM, Jimin, and Suga, and the release of documentaries, photo folios, and more.

“The Planet” could also be noted as something that ARMYs could enjoy for the meantime while the boy band are on the continuing hiatus. Members Jin and J-Hope begins their mandatory military service in South Korea while the rest of the members would follow — depending on the eligibility of their age to join.
