Rebelde: Celebrating a decade of inclusive Film Education in the Philippines

There is a fire in the heart of every aspiring filmmaker, a burning desire to learn, create, and share stories that matter. But where can they find the fuel to keep their flames alive? Where can they find a tribe that understands their dreams and supports their visions? Ten years ago, a band of young rebels who had no formal film education but plenty of passion and courage decided to forge their own path in the world of cinema. They built a community that welcomed anyone who wanted to join them in their quest for cinematic excellence. They called themselves Rebelde.

Rebelde Class Batch 23

Rebelde is more than just a group of filmmakers. It is a movement that celebrates life and inspires lives through the power of film. For a decade, Rebelde has been providing a safe space for storytellers from all walks of life, offering inclusive and immersive film education for everyone. To mark its tenth anniversary, Rebelde has invited two of the most acclaimed directors in the Philippines to share their wisdom and skills with the next generation of filmmakers.
