Twitter’s Press email now automatically responds with just a 💩

Well, this was a development no one really expected. Or maybe we expected it after all.

After firing the entirety of Twitter’s communications team, Elon Musk literally confirmed on his personal Twitter account that all press-related inquiries sent to Twitter’s Press Email (press@twitter.com) will now automatically be responded to with the poop emoji.

This move comes months after the controversial layoffs initiated by Musk after acquiring the micro-blogging platform last October 2022. Musk laid off an approximate of 7,500 employees in November 2022, and emailed the rest of the employees to either stay or leave after detailing a brand-new work culture. Well, everyone else knows the rest of the story.

People tried out emailing Twitter’s Press Email, and well, they all got the same response. Some were amused by this turnout, while some were, well…weren’t happy.

In case you aren’t aware of it, Elon Musk has some sort of vendetta against the media. By media, we mean the ones that have written against him and the companies he runs with an iron fist. Even before Elon Musk became the CEO of Twitter, he’s always been active on the bird app with a large following.

Heck, recently he’s even surpassed former U.S. President Barack Obama as the most followed person on Twitter.

So, these movements don’t seem to be all that suspicious at the moment. Well, unless people actually still want to work under Elon Musk’s Twitter then maybe that poop situation will get fixed, or something.
