Imagine capping off the year 2022 getting roasted by Greta Thunberg on Thursday and detained by police officers the next day. Well, welcome to Andrew Tate’s life!
This year, misogynistic internet media personality Andrew Tate has been making rounds online with videos of him expressing his ridiculously misogynistic claims emerging on the internet. This led to Tate getting the boot on major social media platforms, including Twitter, where he was banned for five years for violating the platform’s service.
But in November, Tate’s Twitter account was reactivated after Tesla CEO Elon Musk bought and took over Twitter. Since then, Tate has been very active on the said platform.
Recently, Tate took to Twitter to brag about his car collection and its emission. He then tagged 19-year-old Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg and told her to provide her email address so he could send her an exhaustive list of his collection and “their respective enormous emissions.”
Thunberg shot back at the media personality, saying: “[Y]es. [P]lease do enlighten me. [E]mail me at smalldickenergy@getalife.com.”
yes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalldickenergy@getalife.com https://t.co/V8geeVvEvg

Thunberg’s sassy comment, which now garnered over 3 million likes, prompted the former kickboxer to respond with a video message (which doesn’t even make any sense, lmao), smoking and mocking the activist for confirming that she had “a small dick” (doesn’t this guy knows what sarcasm is?).
Thank you for confirming via your email address that you have a small penis @GretaThunberg
The world was curious.
And I do agree you should get a life ❤️ https://t.co/mHmiKHjDGH pic.twitter.com/SMisajQRcf

Call it karma or God’s work because a day after his spat with Thunberg, Tate’s home in Romania was raided by police officers. He and his brother, along with two more suspects, were detained for 24 hours under the suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group that exploited girls to create adult content.
According to a spokesperson for the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) who spoke to BBC, the Tate siblings and two other Romanian nationals have been under investigation since April of this year.
While it has yet to be confirmed, it was reported that the Romanian officials were tipped off to Tate’s presence in the country due to the appearance of a Romanian chain’s pizza boxes on his video message to Thunberg.

Following Tate’s arrest, many users poked fun at the problematic guru’s current situation. Thunberg even dissed Tate in a new tweet, saying, “[T]his what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes,” referring to the online rumor.
this is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes

I have to hand it to Andrew Tate, this is the first time I've seen someone be so outwitted by a teenager that they end up in jail without it involving a dog that solves fake ghost mysteries

As a climate activist, you aren't setting a great example by that much burning.

Speaking of the devil, the 36-year-old social media personality posted a bizarre tweet after being detained.
He wrote: “The Matrix sent their agents.”

This isn’t the first time Tate mentioned the Matrix. In his video message to Thunberg, he mentioned how the Swedish activist didn’t realize that she is a “slave of the Matrix.” During his arrest, he also told the camera that “the Matrix has attacked me.”

Many believed that this is a reference to the 1999 science fiction film, The Matrix, which popularized the theory that reality is an illusion and we might be living in a simulation.
This isn’t how we imagined 2022 going to end, but boy, Tate did deserve that. And for an environmental activist, Greta surely did a great job burning him, huh?
