NCT’s Jeno stuns as the first K-Pop Idol to open NYFW

K-Pop has truly been trailblazing in the West these past few months, especially in the fashion scene, and NCT’s Jeno is part of this movement.

Last September 9th, it had been announced that Jeno will be making his debut on the New York Fashion Week runway as the opening for Peter Do’s first menswear collection. He is the second NCT member to have worked with the New York-based fashion designer, following member Johnny during the 2022 MET Gala.

Jeno’s debut at the NYFW Runway is also a milestone for anyone in the K-Pop industry, as he is the first ever K-Pop Idol to open the prestigious fashion event.

On choosing Jeno, Peter Do said that “it was a natural choice to have him [Jeno] open the show,” as he “embodies the Peter Do man—multifaceted, confident, and a trailblazer.”

NCT’s Jeno will be joined by Red Velvet’s Seulgi and SM Rookies Shohei and Eunseok as part of SM Entertainment’s collaboration with Peter Do.

With the day of the runway show finally here, Jeno and “#PETERDOxJENO” immediately rose up on the trending list on social media, with the media absolutely falling in love with the 22-year-old idol’s visuals.

Congratulations on your amazing feat, Jeno! Filipino NCTzens can’t wait to see you and the rest of NCT Dream again so soon!
