Pawssion Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of rescued animals, is holding a benefit concert on August 20, 2022 at Bonifacio Global City to raise funds for and awareness of stray animals in the country. With amazing performances by Sud, Orange and Lemons, and Bini among others, have agreed to perform for free in support of the cause.
Founded in October 2018 by Malou Perez, Pawssion Project has since sheltered, rescued, spayed & neutered, and rehomed over 5,000 animals. The organization is now appealing for funding through various activities in celebration of International Homeless Animals Day (IHAD).
“At Pawssion Project, we truly believe that all animals deserve care and attention. Just like humans, they thrive when they are well loved and taken care of”, shares Malou Perez, Pawssion Project founder. “This International Homeless Animals Day, we hope to show support for our furry friends, raise funds for the projects that will help care for them, and drive awareness about important animal welfare issues,” she continues.
Pawssion Project’s IHAD campaign and festivities began with a kick-off event last August 14, 2022 in the BHS Central Amphitheater featuring, sunset yoga, acoustic sets, and demos of low-cost services, accompanied by a special IHAD Adoption Drive in Market! Market!.
An Art Exhibit featuring the harsh realities of stray animals was set up in Bonifacio High Street on the 15th and will run until Saturday. An Animal Welfare Convention, a whole-day event and forum on animal welfare issues will be run by different animal welfare groups, keynote speakers, and celebrities on August 18. Ending the commemoration on a high note, the Pawssion Project will hold a musical variety show called “Pawchella.”
“We’ve been fortunate enough to work with numerous volunteers who have donated their time and resources towards our cause. It is truly heartwarming to witness how the community cares enough for the neglected to take steps toward making a difference in the lives of our shelter and stray animals. Pawchella is the culmination and celebration of all our efforts,” added Perez.
Pawchella is open to the general public free of charge and will be held at 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM on August 20, 2022 however, through this link, you can pledge a month’s worth of food, shelter, and medicines for furbabies in need for PHP 1,500.
