Girls’ Generation swear they’ll be ‘Forever 1’ in their first release in 5 years

(Ayo GG!) We are Forever 1!

SONEs are definitely not crying over Girls’ Generation’s comeback which is obviously defeating the d-word allegations.

On August 5, 2022, at 6 P.M. KST, Girls’ Generation and SM Entertainment digitally released the girl group’s seventh Korean studio album titled “Forever 1” on streaming platforms and the accompanying music video for the title track of the same name. Their album is in celebration of their 15th anniversary since SNSD’s debut in 2007. “Forever 1” is also Girls’ Generation’s first music release as a group since 2017, after “Holiday Night”.

The album consists of 10 tracks with genres varying from dance-pop, electro-pop (their signature sound), R&B, Pop, and Synth Pop. “Forever 1” also sees the participation of members Tiffany and Sooyoung in lyric composition for the songs “Seventeen” and “Villain”.

Hours prior to the release of their “Forever 1” music video, Girls’ Generation made SONEs nostalgic with their “New Gee” group teaser photo, where they were styled in their iconic song’s concept. In connection to their “Gee” concept, during their Press Conference for “Forever 1”, labelmate and SHINEe member Minho made a special appearance as their host. SONEs remember the SHINEe member as the male lead in the “Gee” music video.

And when their “Forever 1” music video dropped, all emotions went wild for all SONEs around the world.

Girls’ Generation will always be dazzling, iconic, and forever. Thank you for your love, Tayeon, Sunny, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, Hyoyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun.
