The past year has been interestingly splendid for Sam Cruz as she became one of the most interesting new faces on the local music scene, releasing her first-ever single “Train of Thought” plus a really good collab with up-and-coming rap duo P:6 called “Changes”. And right now, she’s more eager to make a mark, sharing a brand-new single “Umiibig Pa Rin” released under Universal Records.
This new love song is a testament that Sam is very driven to her goal to connect more with her growing listeners. “Umiibig Pa Rin” is a chill tune that cuts right to the chase, confronting her past lover so they can get back together because she still has feelings for that person. It perfectly embodies the feeling of longing for someone you don’t want to lose for good. The song is written and produced by Fern. and Kindred Productions.
To coincide with this fresh single release, Sam Cruz also dropped the official music video of “Umiibig Pa Rin”, featuring Jameson Blake, Pinoy Big Brother housemate Anji Salvacion, and fellow UR artist Timmy Albert. (WATCH IT HERE)
The visual follows a short tale of past lovers’ really awkward reunion along with their friends. You can’t help but ask, who is that person right now and how are you going to treat him? Just like an uneasy acquaintance or a total stranger? What if you still have feelings for that person? As the music video progresses, the overall vibe of the scenes tremendously complements the emotional theme of the song.
“Umiibig Pa Rin” is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
