The supportive side of Instagram everyone needs to get on

In the times we live in, you may be reluctant to get on your phone and see what social media has in store for you today, though, on the other hand, you can be scrolling for hours and hours—showing no sign of stopping. Why not try and make your scrolling experience a bit lighter and more uplifting by following some wholesome Instagram accounts?

Users have taken on Instagram to spread some good vibes and helpful reminders of life’s little wonders. Here is just a taste of some posts that can help you shift your feed to be just a tad more positive.

Some accounts may have more specific aims. DLC Anxiety, for example, hopes to provide an online support community to people who have anxiety.

One of their posts even discusses the 5-4-3-2-1 technique and how this can be utilized through chat if someone you love is going through a panic attack and you aren’t physically there with them.

DLC Anxiety has also collaborated with The Mind Supply, an overall wellness account hoping to supply “daily love for your mind”. Most of its posts urge you to self-reflect and strive towards self-betterment, they also remind you to be kind to yourself and remember that most things take time.

These accounts bring to focus the small things that make up everyday life. While grand gestures are nice every once in a while, it’s in the little things that we find where love is the most, whether it is romantic or not.

This side of Instagram also reminds us that the world is full of enduring love.

Just simply being present may sometimes be more than enough.

And perhaps most important of all, this wholesome side of Instagram pushes us to ask ourselves (even if aggressively so) “what if it all works out fine in the end after all?!”

Sometimes we need little reminders that life can be beautiful, we are exactly where we need to be right now, and that everything is going to be okay.
