As the Philippines is fast approaching the end of President Rodrigo Duterte’s six-year term, a new leader is expected to take on the challenge of leading the country. Several candidates have already declared their intent to run as the next president, and each of them has their own platforms and projects designed to lead the country towards greatness. But what are the platforms and projects these candidates offer? How would their platforms and projects affect the future economy of the Philippines?
The Business Economics Association (BEA) under the UA&P School of Economics is proud to present its online webinar: BEA Kapeleksyon. The webinar will center around the theme: “Kaakibat sa Mabuting Pamamahala,” which highlights the main goal of the event – to inform eligible voters and raise awareness for an educated vote through the substantial topics that will be tackled. Unlike similar events that cater to voters’ education and good governance, BEA Kapeleksyon offers an intensive economic analyses of the upcoming elections at its core – in addition to a political standpoint
The webinar will thoroughly discuss the implications of the 2022 Philippine national elections to the economy, assess the platforms and projects of specific presidential candidates from an economic and political perspective, and highlight which projects and policies should be maintained and abandoned from the current administration to the succeeding administration. The focus of the discussion will be on Leody de Guzman, Ping Lacson, Isko Moreno, Leni Robredo, Bong Bong Marcos, and Manny Pacquiao.
