Relive the moments and get front-row access to Sinag Maynila Film Festival 2017 Gabi ng Parangal as it recognized the creative minds behind the award-winning entries and stellar performances of the actors, actresses, and production teams of each film last March 12, Sunday at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura. This season, five Full Length films contended for the coveted titles— KRISTO by HF Yambao, BEYOND THE BLOCK by Ricardo Carranza, LADYFISH by Jason Orfalas, BHOY INSTIK by Joel Lamangan TU PUG IMATUY (The Right to Kill) by Arbi Barbarona

The jurors for this season of Sinag Maynila were UP Film Institute faculty and UP College of Mass Communications Dean Rolando Tolentino; art historian, critic and professor at the University of the Philippines Patrick Flores; French film critic and historian, specializing in Japanese and Asian cinemas Max Tessier; lawyer and film critic Oggs Cruz; commercial and film director and producer Paul Soriano; and Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chairwoman Liza Diño-Seguerra.

Sinag Maynila was born from the vision of Mr. Wilson Tieng and Direk Brillante Mendoza’s wish to have a festival that not only inspires but educates and enlightens Filipino movie audiences.
