Neil Patrick Harris got his first-ever tat!
Acclaimed actor Neil Patrick Harris got his first tattoo after Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events was renewed for Season 2.
The actor plays the shrewd and evil Count Olaf who is after the “Baudelaires’s enormous fortune.” He dons multiple guises to fool the children (which he always seems to fail in) and their guardians (which he always seem to succeed in doing). That is why, the children distinguishes him through a tattoo on his left ankle.
A Series of @Unfortunate Events has been renewed for season two. Exciting! Unless, of course, you're a Baudelaire… https://t.co/aqXwxJdZwt

The “scamp stamp” as seen in the series was the same pattern that Harris chose for his first ink made by Brooklyn-based artist Anderson Luna.
It seems that Harris has taken his portrayal of the villainous count with more dedication than Count Olaf himself would!
The insignia stands for Volunteer Fire Department (V.F.D.), which is a mysterious society that the Baudelaire children–Violet, Klaus, and Sunny–got entangled with throughout the series.
The series’s official Twitter account tweeted this after being picked up for second season:

So typical of Lemony Snicket to send a dismal message to viewers!
Trying to scare us away, eh?
Unfortunately we can’t be scared away, and we can’t wait for the next installment!
If you haven’t seen the first season, you still have time to watch the unfortunate fate of the Baudelaire children on Netflix.
