In today’s post-truth world, hearing more voices that speak of facts is paramount. It is with this that Preen.ph launches its first Preen Sessions with Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
Barely a year in her senatorial office, Sen. Risa has served as a figure for Filipino welfare with her Tres Marias bill, her advocacy for the LGBT community, and the state of mental health in the country. She has forwarded headlines with her wit in confronting divisive issues and remained courageous despite questionable situations that fill today’s politics.
A recognized force even during her partylist days, Sen. Risa will set the tone for the coming Preen Sessions, a series of gatherings of different women who excel in their respective fields. The launch also comes in time for International Women’s Month, a time which is important to Preen.ph—a website that has always served in the best interests of feminism and progressive thinking.
