Bullet Dumas won’t be at Rakrakan. Here’s how his fans reacted

Singer Bullet Dumas announced last night via social media that he would not be performing at the Rakrakan Festival this Saturday, January 14. He was previously announced as one of the 100 acts that will be at the event.

According to Dumas, he is withdrawing from the festival, themed “OPM against drugs,” because his “personal beliefs and convictions may be challenged” if he participates in it. As we all know, the drug issue in the country is a very sensitive one right now, and was also the reason why James Taylor canceled his concert here last December.

Although some were saddened by the announcement, Bullet’s fans expressed support for his decision to withdraw. Here are some of their reactions:

The people behind Rakrakan Festival clarified during their presscon that the event only advocates against drugs, and that the theme does not necessarily mean that they condone the extrajudicial killings related to drugs in the country.

We’re sad to hear you won’t be at Rakrakan, Bullet. Maybe you can jam with us at InqPOP Sessions instead? 🙂 *fingers-crossed*
