Filipino Stand-Up Comedian, Alex Calleja has made it to the finals of Laugh Factory’s Funniest Person in the World Contest!
Out of the 88 comedians competing from around the world, we are now down to the final 5 comedians. The 5 remaining comedians will compete in Finland on December 9th (Manila Time) and the winner will be decided through online voting.
Alex entered this competition prepared to make the whole world laugh. In every round of the competition, Alex performed his funniest jokes to take him to the finals, showing the world how funny and hilarious Pinoy comedians are and how much Filipinos love to laugh.
Alex has carried our flag with his jokes and now it is time for us to do our part and vote for Alex Calleja and help him be the first Filipino comedian to win the Funniest Person in the World Contest.
It’s time for a Filipino Comedian to hit the world stage and showcase Filipino Humor at its funniest.
For the final round, Alex will be flying to Levi, Finland to perform a live set on December 8, 8PM (December 9, 2AM Philippine time). The video of his set will be uploaded at Laugh Factory’s website and starting December 8, 9PM (December 9, 3AM Philippine time), the 24-hour voting will begin.
Let us all unite to support him in this endeavour. Please vote on December 9 starting at around 3AM Philippine time. It’s back to zero so we can all vote again.
How to vote:
If Alex wins this competition, he will have the title of “Funniest Person in the World”, bring home $100,000 and the chance to represent the Philippines in the international stand up comedy scene.
