Alduting is hard, but what makes it even harder is dealing with the daily struggle of commuting. Here in the Philippines, Pinoy commuters understand what #TheStruggleIsReal really means.
You know, “Aalis kang fresh, dadating kang haggard.”
1. You learn what “forever” really means… in long lines…
2. …and in traffic.
3. When you wanna be high-maintenance but you’re poor, so you keep up with it.
5. When you’re running late as hell but the jeepney driver had to stop by a gas station.
6. When the jeepney’s obviously full but the driver insists “kasya pa”.
O, siyaman yan!
7. Or when you’re squished so hard inside the train, you feel your bones start to break.
8. Skipped trains can make you cry.
“I had high hopes!!”
9. But when the train is empty and there aren’t a lot of passengers:
“So now I come to you with open arms…”
10. People getting inside the train be like:
“Sugooooood!”
11. So you learn to unleash the warrior inside you.
12. There are two kinds of people you don’t want to sit beside:
One who’s drowning in perfume,
and one who desperately, badly, needs it.
Imagine being sandwiched between those two.
13. So you need fresh air to keep yourself alive.
Oxygen pls.
14. Commuting can also be hard for people who sleep a lot.
15. Well, because this can happen to anyone.
16. Apparently, this too!
“Commuting, more fun in the Philippines!”
