FALL OUT BOY LIVE IN MANILA!!!

After a four-year hiatus, Fall Out Boy is back in full force and ready to rock out in front of a Filipino crowd, with an August 8 concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Pinoy fans can expect to hear classic favorites like “Sugar, We’re Going Down”, “Dance, Dance”, “Thnks fr th Mmrs” and “I Don’t Care”, as well as fresh new hits “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” and “The Phoenix”.

Taking a break and pursuing individual side projects following their announced hiatus in 2009, Fall Out Boy has finally returned with their hotly anticipated album Save Rock and Roll. The album was released to both commercial and critical acclaim, earning the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 and praise from publications such as Alternative Press, who called it “a blast of an album”. The lead single from the album, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark”, climbed to the #2 spot on Billboard’s Rock Songs Chart and broke the top 5 in Ireland, Scotland and the UK. The song is a solid three minutes of foot-stomping, fist-pumping rock and roll with a hip-hop edge, complete with an aggressive yet undeniably catchy chorus. The accompanying music video, which features rapper 2 Chainz, has garnered nearly 20 million views on VEVO, the leading platform for music videos.

Fall Out Boy first achieved mainstream success with their 2005 album From Under The Cork Tree, which spawned the two extremely popular singles “Sugar, We’re Going Down” and “Dance, Dance” (#8 and #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 respectively). Their next release, 2007’s Infinity on High, saw the band experimenting with a wider variety of genres. Propelled by the success of singles “Thnks fr the Mmrs”, “I’m Like A Lawyer with the Way I’m Always Trying to Get You Off”, and “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race” – which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and broke industry records with its 162,000 digital downloads – Infinity on High debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 and sold 260,000 copies in its first week. Their 2008 follow-up, Folie a Deux, debuted at #8 on the Billboard Hot 200 and produced the hit single “I Don’t Care”, which reached #21.

Now, after a long and agonizing wait, Fall Out Boy is all grown up and ready to rock and roll once more. You don’t want to miss Fall Out Boy’s Save The World tour on August 8 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum! Get your ticket now at TicketNet outlets nationwide, or online at www.ticketnet.com.ph
