Just in time for Father’s Day (June 19), Netizens burst in tears after watching the third installment of Max’s Restaurant and renowned director Brillante “Dante” Mendoza’s short films. Max’s Facebook followers poured their hearts out and share their fondest memories with their fathers along with this very timely clip.

Adding to “Si Dante at si Max’s” heartfelt offerings is the five-minute tear-jerker, “Debut”, which stared veteran actor Julio Diaz as the selfless single father who works as a chef at Max’s to make ends meet. The film showcases Julio’s efforts to fulfill his promise to his wife for their only daughter.

The short films are centered on handpicked stories from ordinary Filipino’s extraordinary experiences inside a Max’s Restaurant. This initiative aims to turn life’s simplest moments into our fondest memories.

On its 70th anniversary, The House That Fried Chicken Built teamed up with 2009 Cannes Film Festival Best Director, Dante Mendoza to further encapsulate Max’s vision and turn it into a heartwarming reality. The two proudly Filipino icons launched an exclusive screening of all four collaborations last December 17, 2015.

You can watch “Debut” and all the other Max’s short films on their YouTube channel:
