Regional Service Design company, On-Off Group will host Manila’s first ever “Service Design Summit 2016” on April 4 and 5. The event aims to highlight how design can be used to create sustainable value for every industry.

The provision of services plays a key role in the Philippine economy with the country’s enviable growth largely underpinned by the services sector.

“The Philippine economy is made up mostly of services – yet nobody is designing them. We think BPO’s are just part of a much bigger story here.” says On-Off Group co- founder, Kristin Low.

A mix of foreign and local speakers have been secured for the 2 day summit. On day 1, Sarah Drummond from UK-based company Snook will run a practical workshop and talk about how her work with the UK government led to desirable economic and social outcomes.

Senior Customer Experience (CX) and User Experience (UX) professionals from the Philippines will share their thoughts and stories about the current state of services in the country. Confirmed speakers are Aaron Delapaz of Cebu Pacific Air, Gerry Dy of Security Bank, Gerson Abesamis of Habi Education, and Joan Magno of Kalibrr.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming hundreds of individuals and companies this April.” says Philippines-based Director Phil Smithson. “The services sector employs 54% of the workforce. There are enormous opportunities, not only to improve existing services, but to design completely new ones that solve different problems.”

Previous events run by the Group include a sold-out User Experience (UX) Summit with attendees from financial services, telecommunications, BPO’s, education, advertising and tourism industries in attendance. This year’s summit is expected to draw an even larger audience and looks set to build on the energetic and lively atmosphere of previous
