CARLY RAE JEPSEN LIVE IN MANILA!

Carly Rae Jepsen, the star behind the infectious hit “Call Me Maybe”, is taking Manila by storm on August 7, with a concert at the Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. For the first time, she will be performing hits such as “Call Me Maybe”, “Good Time”, “This Kiss” and “Tonight I’m Getting Over You” for her fans in the Philippines.

Jepsen, who was named Billboard’s 2012 Rising Star, was the breakout pop act of last year thanks to her ubiquitous single “Call Me Maybe,” which has sold more than 10 million singles worldwide and climbed to No. 1 in more than 47 countries. The hit song catapulted Jepsen into the limelight almost overnight, with the viral music video currently exceeding 473 million views on VEVO. It was the best-selling song of 2012 on iTunes and was ranked No. 1 on the Village Voice’s annual “Pazz and Jop” poll. “Call Me Maybe” was nominated for a 2013 Grammy Award for “Song of the Year” and earned Jepsen a nod for “Best Pop Solo Performance.” She also won a 2012 American Music Award for New Artist of the Year, “Best Song” and “Best Push” at the 2012 EMAs, “Best International Newcomer” at the NRJ Music Awards, Best Song for “Call Me Maybe” at the Premios 40 Principales America Awards, and nominated for 5 Canadian Juno awards.

After supporting multi-platinum pop/R&B star Justin Bieber on tour in the U.S. throughout the fall, she hit the road with him on February 18th for his European tour, which included four shows at the O2 Arena in London — a collective audience of 80,000. She was also selected as Seventeen’s March cover star and judge of the magazine’s third annual Pretty Amazing contest — a search for the ultimate real girl to appear on the magazine’s October 2013 cover. In February, Jepsen was named the first spokeswoman for millennial natural personal care brand, güd from Burt’s Bees, appearing in a multi-faceted campaign. Jepsen is also the face of iconic fashion brand Candie’s’ Spring 2013 multi-media marketing campaign, which has also featured such superstar spokeswomen as Britney Spears and Fergie. As part of this campaign, she will be appearing in her first-ever TV commercial, which is scheduled to air during the 2013 Teen Choice Awards this August.

Jepsen is currently busy working on the follow-up to her 2012 album Kiss, which included hit singles “Call Me Maybe”, “This Kiss”, “Tonight I’m Getting Over You”, and Owl City collaboration “Good Time”.
