Falling in Reverse to make Manila debut with coming Home Asia Tour 2018

Metalcore provocateurs FALLING IN REVERSE are making their Philippine debut as they bring their incendiary live performance to our shores on April 10, 2018 with COMING HOME ASIA TOUR. Powered by PULP Live World, this historical event happens at the Skydome, SM North EDSA.

Lead by enigmatic frontman and Las Vegas, Nevada native Ronnie Radke after his departure from contemporaries Escape the Fate, FALLING IN REVERSE currently consists of rhythm guitarist Derek Jones, bassist Zakk Sandler, lead guitarist Christian Thompson, and touring drummer Michael Levine. They are currently signed to Epitaph Records.

Never the one to be conventional, the band has proven to be excitingly unpredictable with every release. While their foundation is built on metalcore, the band is never content with sticking to one style. They’ve mingled with glam metal (in their debut album The Drug In Me Is You), hip-hop (in sophomore release Fashionably Late), and pop rock (in their third full-length Just Like You). In their latest album, Coming Home, they continue to break creative barriers.

“It’s a huge left turn,” Radke told Alternative Press. “It sounds like nothing we’ve ever done… We’re challenging ourselves now more than we ever have in the weirdest ways possible, because you would think writing the craziest solo or riffs would be the challenging part. But the challenging part is trying to stick to a theme and not go all over the place like we would normally do.”

The album is a deeply personal one for Radke. The band describes the album as what he “dreamed about making as a kid, teaching himself to play guitar with Blink182 and Green Day songs, rapping along to Dr. Dre and Eminem, skipping school, going to shows, and doing whatever it took to redefine his life beyond the hardscrabble circumstances of his upbringing, even when the obstacles were of his own design.”

The risks the band took were not lost on critics. The album received generally favorable reviews, with AllMusic calling it the band’s most mature album to date “with its exciting blend of styles that prevents the collection from ever seeming stagnant or indistinguishable.” The publication also praised it for its “rocket-ship energy.” With the band being at their creative peak, FALLING IN REVERSE’s debut show in Manila will surely be another one for the books.
