Independent doggo fetches his own food from a pet shop and carries it back home

Just as we rely on our parents most of our lives for our basic needs, pets rely on their “hoomans” for shelter, love, and food. But this heckin’ good doggo proves that he can take care of himself and his own food.

Meet Pituco, the independent doggo from Parai, Brazil!

Unlike other dogs who wait for their master to feed them or need to do a trick to earn a treat, Pituco goes by himself to a nearby veterinary clinic and pet food shop, Agro Pet Parai, and “fetches” his own food. Almost everyday, he goes there to collect his food and heads back home carrying a bag of treats.

“Everybody knows Pituco,” Agro Pet’s vet told The Dodo. “His food is on the top shelf, so we have to hand it to him. He barks until we do.”

Everything that Pituco gets from the store will be put on tab and his hoomans will just come by to pay for it. Being the pure creature that he is, Pituco also gets food for his pet siblings—cat food or bird seeds—and happily carries them back home.

Clearly, he’s not just an independent doggo but is also a definitely good boy!
