It’s been more than a year since Millie Bobby Brown stole the limelight and made people love her in the hit sci-fi Netflix Series “Stranger Things”. The 13-year-old actress proved that she’s a star in the making as many praised her stellar performance as Eleven in the series.
Many were saying that Millie looks like the young Natalie Portman who also started out as a young actress and is now an Academy Award winner. Co-star David Harbour (Jim Hopper) says Millie is the “young Meryl Streep”.

She’s that good even though she never trained professionally to be an actress. Her singing and rapping skills are also on point, which is why it’s quite a shocker when she opened up about being deaf in one ear.
Millie wowed people when she rapped a verse from Nicki Minaj’s “Monster” last year and recently did a rap-recap of Stranger Things Season 1 at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

She was born with partial deafness in one ear, which later progressed into total deafness. It never stopped her though from wanting to sing despite only hearing herself with just one ear whenever she sings.
“I just started to sing, and if I sound bad I don’t care, because I’m just doing what I love,” she told Variety in an interview. “You don’t have to be good at singing. You don’t have to be good at dancing or acting. If you like to do it, if you genuinely enjoy doing it, then do it.”
Millie also shared her aspiration to be a singer and to perform in a broadway musical, Matilda specifically.
She managed to rocket herself to stardom seemingly overnight. And with the latest season of Stranger Things now streaming on Netflix, it looks like she and the whole gang are in for more.
