The Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) and JobStreet.com Philippines once again renew their partnership in an event aimed at enabling graduating Filipino engineering students to explore different career opportunities and improve their employment potentials in various industries.

The 2nd Philippine Student Engineering Congress is scheduled on Friday, 10 March 2017 at T.I.P. Quezon City. Bannering the theme “Better Engineers for a Better Philippines,” the congress aims to gather more than 1,000 engineering students from some of the top educational institutions in the country to inspire them to be more globally competitive and provide them with potential career opportunities.

“With the first Engineering Congress, we started our delegates on the road to being global engineers. This year, T.I.P. and Jobstreet.com Philippines hope to make our future engineering professionals more empowered, more technologically engaged, and more socially responsible, so they can be better nation builders,” said Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz, T.I.P. president.

During the one-day congress, invited leading engineering experts and motivational speakers of the country will discuss job market insights and trends for young Filipino engineers, the importance of being a licensed engineer, the rise of technopreneurship in the country, how to become an employer’s choice, and finding the motivation to persevere in an ever-changing, challenge-ridden job-hunting landscape.

Alongside the congress, a career exhibit will enable delegates to directly engage with representatives of more than 25 top companies from various industries who employ young Filipino engineers. These include Coca-Cola, FEMSA Philippines Inc., Teradyne Phils. Ltd., Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company, Personal Collection Direct Selling Inc., Schneider Electric Logistics Asia Pte. Ltd. – Philippines, TaskUs, and National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, among others.
