The National Capital Region Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (NCR-UCL AA) teams up with BTV and Solar Sports

College hoop fans get their 2nd semester fix as the National Capital Region Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (NCR-UCL AA) teams up with Basketball TV and Solar Sports to air the biggest varsity league to hit Mega Manila starting this month.

Two established collegiate leagues, the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) and the Universities & Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA), have joined forces to create a bigger and unified tournament that covers Luzon and NCR. With the participation of Basketball TV and Solar Sports, the schools and athletes are also given the chance to showcase their talents in more competitive games to a TV audience.

16 teams are slated to participate in the inaugural season. Notable squads are the Philippine Merchant Marine School (Defending NCRAA Champions), the PATTS College of Aeronautics (Defending UCLAA Champions), and Olivarez College (2016 UCBL 1st Runner Up). Other schools include the Saint Francis of Assisi College, Asian Institute of Maritime Studies, Colegio de San Lorenzo, De La Salle University – Dasmariñas, National College of Business Administration, Philippine State College of Aeronautics, De Ocampo Memorial College, Rizal Technological University, Philippine School of Business Administration, Technological Institute of the Philippines, Don Bosco Technological College, Emilio Aguinaldo College, and University of Makati. The best school will be crowned the 1st ever champion of the NCR-UCL AA.

The 1st season of the NCR-UCL AA begins on January 17, 2017, 9 AM at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. Games will be played every Monday and Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
