It seems armys just can’t get enough of 7Fates: Chakho! after WEBTOON just released the trailer for the highly-anticipated, BTS-inspired urban-fantasy webtoon series.
In collaboration with HYBE and Naver Webtoon, 7Fates: Chakho is a story inspired by Korea’s Joseon dynasty tiger hunters called “Chakhogapsa”. It follows the fate of seven young men in their mission to overcome trials and tribulations, and hunting their destiny together despite their differing pasts.
The seven characters inspired by BTS include Dogeon (RM), Hwan (Jin), Cein (Suga), Hosu (J-Hope), Haru (Jimin), Jooan (V), and Zeha (Jungkook). The webtoon is available online, with the first episode released on January 15. 7Fates: Chako is HYBE’s first BTS-inspired webtoon. The soundtrack, sung by Jungkook and produced by SUGA, will also soon be released.
HYBE had announced in their 2021 briefing their plans to expand their business to web-based comics, novels, and gaming to create more HYBE-owned original content. They will be casting HYBE artists into these stories, to be launched on various platforms.
Alongside 7Fates: Chakho, HYBE also announced four original stories to be released this 2022. Aside from a BTS-inspired webtoon, the other web novels lined up for release feature boy group TXT in the webtoon The Star Seekers, ENHYPEN in Dark Moon, and the story Crimson Heart.
Armys expressed their excitement and joy over seeing the visuals and animation of BTS and the BTS-inspired characters.
