TikTok celebrates 1 year of Edu content building in the Philippines with #EdusGotTalent2021

Over the past year, TikTok has emerged as a game-changer in online educational content, ushering a new age of short-form learning driven by its edu creators, hashtag challenges, and partnerships. In June of 2020, TikTok Philippines launched #TikTokU, which served as the first big umbrella for educational content on the platform. In the same year, #TikTokSkwela was launched as the new umbrella campaign for instructive content. Together, these campaigns have generated billions of video views and hundreds of thousands of educational posts on TikTok.

Amazing Filipino edu creators, onboarded and cultivated by TikTok during the past year, filled the platform with interesting and relevant instructive content. By freely sharing their professional knowledge and experiences through their TikTok videos, these edu creators helped others gain new information, learn new skills, and discover creative inspiration.

Partnerships with media publishers and educational institutions were instrumental in boosting engagement and interest in these educational short-form videos as well. TikTok’s partnership with DOST-PCIEERD helped deliver Science and Technology knowledge to the public through campaigns such as #PinoyInnovator, #PinoyScience and TechTalk Live. Moreover, its collaboration with the GMA Network program, AHA!, enabled TikTok to promote content featuring interesting and fun facts on TV, to reach even more Filipino viewers.

In celebration of a successful first year of educational content building in the country, TikTok Philippines will be launching several initiatives on the platform in the coming weeks. Firstly, the entire community is invited to join in on the fun and e-learning through the DEPED and DOST-PCIEERD-endorsed #EDUSGOTTALENT2021 campaign, which aims to further promote educational and instructive content on the platform. Campaign partners include DEPED, DOST-PCIEERD, KMD, Workbean and Gauthmath, an honored partner of TikTok PH, has all along devoted to helping students master math easily and productively for free. Simply snap a photo of any math questions and get step-by-step answers instantly on Gauthmath.
