GTA 6 might come out in 2025 and Twitter is not amused

Ever since the release of GTA 5 in 2013 – one of the best-selling games of all time – eager fans have been waiting for the next installment in the GTA franchise.

Since 2013 though, all that Rockstar has given us was DLC after DLC, aka additional online content that no one asks for. They even made an announcement for GTA 5 on next-gen consoles, without any updates on GTA the next edition of the game.

With information from known leaker Tom Henderson, we finally have an idea of when the game might come out.

In this video from Henderson (a reliable source for Call of Duty leaks), he claims that GTA 6 would be set in a modern-day Vice city, and would be released at around 2025.

That is a 13-year gap from GTA 5 and is a terribly long wait compared to previous installments. GTA 5 was released only four years after GTA 4, so what’s taking them so long?

We don’t know the answer to that for sure, but what we do know is that the wonderful world of Twitter reacted hilariously to the said GTA 6 rumors.

Some accurately portrayed their age when the game finally comes out:

Others were understandably full of emotion:

While other had very high expectations (and rightfully so):

Sadly, we all just have to accept the fact that this game won’t be on our PCs and consoles in the near future. With all the time that Rockstar has to make a top-tier game, let’s hope they don’t disappoint.
