Chris Brown under investigation over battery allegation

Grammy-winning singer Chris Brown is being investigated for battery after allegedly hitting a woman during an altercation in his Los Angeles home last Friday, June 18.

This news, meanwhile, came as no surprise at all to some, given the singer’s history with prior allegations and charges over the years.

The Los Angeles Police Department said that officers responded to a radio call at a residence in the 19600 block of Citrus Ridge Drive in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.

However, Brown was not present when police arrived at the home.

According to the source, the incident occurred at around 7:30 in the morning.

The alleged victim, meanwhile, claimed that Brown smacked the back of her head during an argument, which caused her extensions to fall out. No severe injuries were reported.

Moreover, a crime report for battery was filed and the city attorney’s office is now handling the investigation for filing consideration.

The Los Angeles city attorney’s office and Brown’s attorney are yet to respond to requests for comment.

Brown, 32, has a past of violence against women stretching back to 2009.

Last year, 2019, the singer was released after being detained in Paris over an aggravated rape and drug offenses. He denied the accusation.

In 2018, Brown was accused of presiding over a drug-fueled orgy at his Los Angeles home, where a woman was sexually assaulted by two of his associates.

And in 2017, his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran successfully filed for a five-year restraining order against him because of violent threats.

Prior to that, Brown was arrested for physically assaulting Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time, where he left the singer with injuries on her face and was hospitalized in 2009. He pleaded guilty to felony assault and completed probation in 2015.
