Avril Lavigne makes debut on TikTok with ‘Sk8er Boi’ Tony Hawk

International pop star Avril Lavigne recreated her 2002 hit “Sk8er Boi” featuring pro-skater Tony Hawk as she made her debut on TikTok.

“I just posted my first TikTok with the legendary Tony Hawk… go check it out!” she wrote.

Lavigne donned her trademark look as she wore a black-on-black outfit of shorts, Chuck Taylor converse, and a muscle tee shirt with a red and blue striped necktie.

In the chorus part, the camera transitions to show Hawk performing stunts on a skate ramp as a professional ‘sk8er boi’.

She added on the caption of the TikTok video “He was a… @tonyhawk”, referring to Hawk as the ‘skater boy’ in the lyrics of the song.

Meanwhile, Hawk replied a comment on Lavinge’s Instagram post saying “I was a skater man, she said see you later man.”

Fans of Lavigne were delighted watching the video. Most of them say her e-girl aesthetic did not change.

As of writing, the TikTok video has 4.1 million likes and more than 100, 000 comments, including some from verified TikTokers.
