Educate and donate: REV UP is back and ready to bring relevance despite the pandemic

Despite the circumstances during this pandemic, UP Radio Circle is determined to give back once again to the community through spreading responsible use of media. This year, UP Radio Circle is bringing back REV UP (Reach out, Educate, and Volunteer) which is an annual project that aims to give back to society and show their appreciation and celebration of the successful years as an organization.

With the theme of “Building National Consciousness through Responsible Journalism”, this year’s REV UP will be a two day online workshop held on June 21-22, 2021 at 1-3 PM exploring topics such as framing local news stories, fact checking and verification as well as platforms for student voices.

The beneficiary of this year’s REV UP online workshop will be Save Our Schools Network which is a network of child-focused NGOs, church-based groups, and other stakeholders who are advocating for children’s right to education. The Save Our Schools Network advocates for children’s rights to education by helping Lumad children continue their education through makeshift facilities called Bakwit schools.

REV UP 2021 is brought to you by UP Radio Circle special thanks to Rotaract Club of Mega Edsa with its official media partners Now You Know PH, Inquirer.net, and Inquirer Pop.
