Zayn Malik’s f-slur controversy sparks Twitter debate

Zayn Malik was caught on video in a heated argument with an unknown man outside a bar in New York City.

Former One Direction member was reportedly smoking outside the bar when a random guy started the fight and lunged at Malik, with the guy then calling him the f-slur.

Malik returned the insult to the culprit and repeated the man’s word, “Oh I’m a f****t?” Fortunately, the fight didn’t escalate any further and the two eventually left the scene.

Reports said that one of the club owners claimed that Zayn was a regular. “Zayn is [in] here a lot and we absolutely love having him. He was here for a few hours playing pool and ping-pong with a bunch of people, and there were no problems.”

The homophobic slur is commonly used as an insult towards people of the LGBTQ+ community.

Malik’s f-slur issue caused discussion on Twitter. While Malik was defending himself from the stranger, many claimed he should be held accountable for repeating the slur during the argument.
