Dr. Seuss once said “A person is a person, no matter how small.” This goes to show the value that children have in society. Not to mention, their potential as human beings to be productive to society in the long run. This is why parents take on the task of giving it their best to support their children, by providing for their children’s needs. Because they too believe that children are the most important individuals to nurture for the next generation.
Hence, the Management of Financial Institutions Association, one of DLSU’s accredited professional student organizations. Launched their very-first donation drive centered towards children called One MaFIAmily. This event is mainly for supporting children in need through education, spiritual empowerment, and reassurance for their future.
In this time of need during the pandemic, numerous children are inadvertently affected by this crisis. Thus, the MaFIA took this initiative to help them through a two-month fundraising and publicity campaign which aims to aid children in need, specifically children from the Vision of Hope Foundation. This donation drive will provide an avenue to raise awareness and funds for these children through different activities and partnerships that will be able to help the less fortunate children to give them light for a brighter future.
This event will consist of a series of activities such as publicity stunts, webinars, raffle draws, online games, and etc., in order to make this event enjoyable and interactive. Ultimately, this will help encourage everyone to help and make a difference for these children.
