The UP Pre-Medical Society, in its 65th year, brings you LIWAYWAY: MEDCON 2021 A Glimpse of a Brighter Future in Medicine this April 17, 2021 (Saturday) from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and April 24, 2021 (Saturday) from 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM. This medical convention is a two-day series catered to students who are interested in the field of medicine. Pre-medical students are invited to hear from medical students and licensed medical professionals who will give insights on their journey and experiences towards pursuing a career in medicine, from medical school all the way up to their post-graduate life as a medical doctor.
The second leg of the event focuses on medical students as they venture into life post-medical school. Medical students will be hearing from experts from the different specializations such as anaesthesiology, emergency medicine, pediatrics and surgery.
Liwayway: MedCon 2021 will be opened by Vice President Leni Robredo and will also feature renowned doctors such as Dr. Gap Legaspi, Dr. Lei Alfonso, Dr. Renzo Guinto, and Dr. Francis Dimalanta.
Participants will be going home not only with the knowledge from their valuable speakers but also with a chance to win merchandise, gift packages, and certificates from their sponsors and partners. Each participant will receive a MedCon e-toolkit that will contain a booklet of activities, trivia, and reflection questions.
