The Ateneo Mathematics Society (AMS) is an organization that intends to impact society with mathematics as its tool. To commit to this mission, the organization pursues multiple projects that strive for education, appreciation, and excellence in the discipline. In order to allow others to partake in this advocacy, AMS initiates multiple annual fundraising projects which subsequently continue and improve the group’s efforts.
This month, AMS proudly presents their month-long event titled Sweet Escape. Formerly a project open only to the LS community, the online transition has pushed the project to widen its reach to the public from March 1-31, 2021. Sweet!
As the name suggests, the project used to involve the selling of delectable sweet snacks to hopefully balance the bitterness brought about by the midterms of final periods that is referred to by students as “hell weeks”. However, in light of the pandemic and online transition, the organization has decided to rebrand and shift from marketing literal sweets to sweet gifts.
This year’s Sweet Escape offers two types of care packages for customers to enjoy, the Korea In Your Area Package and the Netflix & Chill Package with two variants. Each package will be composed of food and comfort products related to the theme for customers to enjoy.
To order, Sweet Escape provides two options as well. Customers can directly place their orders on Shopee by going to the AMS Store (https://shopee.ph/amstoreadmu). On the other hand, customers can also place their orders and details on Google Forms (https://bit.ly/SEOrder). Products will then be delivered to the customers’ own home sweet home or, if they choose, another’s to make someone else’s day sweeter!
Don’t let this short but sweet event escape your notice!
