De La Salle University Manila’s Englicom holds the annual Chinese New Year celebration online

As they say, all good things must come to an end. Last March 5, 2021, ENGLICOM – De La Salle University’s official Filipino-Chinese socio-civic organization- wrapped up its week long Chinese New Year Celebration. Although the organization has been doing this celebration annually for years now, this year was the first time they had it online and yet they were still able to pull it off. The week was filled with different events such as a good old game of Jeopardy, a virtual escape room, doodling competition, horoscope reading and many more! ENGLICOM definitely capped off the event right with their final event: The Grand Raffle. During the event, they invited a bunch of talented individuals to perform such as Madeleine Tee, Jarrett Cua, Dani Enriquez, Steph Dela Cruz, Cheryl Uy, Lindth Chua, LSDC, DLSU Innersoul, and JPIA-JAG. However, the grandeur doesn’t stop there! They also gave a way a bunch of amazing prizes such as various vouchers from different brands, Shopee vouchers and even a laser printer from Brother. Although this year’s celebration wasn’t like the usual one’s ENGLICOM would have, attendees were still able to have fun and immerse themselves in the Chinese culture. Once again, Happy 2021 everyone!
