Fans of Ji-Soo are saddened by his sudden departure in his drama series, “River Where the Moon Rises.” The news comes from recent allegations of his inappropriate behavior and involvement in school violence. The actor was set to play as the main character On Dal, but was later replaced by the actor, Na In-Woo.
Rumors about the actor were recently spread from three anonymous sources, claiming that Ji-Soo verbally and physically abused them in highschool. Apparently he was known as a ‘delinquent’ and a ‘king’ who roamed around their school. Another victim shared that the word “bullying” is not enough to describe what they have been through.
A former schoolmate of the actor said that he was traumatized by his experience, and adds that: “When I first saw him on TV after he debuted, I thought he wouldn’t last long, but I was wrong. It was really shocking for me to see his face on the first floor of department stores, in Olive Young (a health and beauty chain store) in his dramas and movies, but the most crucial part to hear, is that middle school girls are talking about him and saying they’re big fans of his.”
The actor claimed responsibility for his past, and wrote an apology letter posted on his Instagram account, “I sincerely apologize to those people, who were hurt by me. And there’s no excuse for my past misdeeds. The actions that I showed towards them are unforgivable.”
And he also apologized to the cast and crew of “River Where the Moon Rises” saying this, “I’m also apologizing to all my fellow cast and crew of the drama, the broadcasting station, and those affiliated with the production, due to my personal problem. I pray that I will not cause any more damage to the drama.
Due to this scandal, Ji-Soo’s agency said that they “will halt all his schedule and activities as an actor and will take his time to think about on his past actions”
